This game was coming along fine, with some interesting gameplay. But it hasn't been updated in 7 months as of this review. If they would have kept with it, and updating it, I would give it a thumbs up.The overall idea is cool. You control the undead, and use them to wipe out the city. You can either eat the humans to regain health, or change them into zombies, to add to your army. You can merge zombies into more powerful undead creatures, and use special abilities with these creatures.Like I said, it was looking great. I'd have loved to see a completed game. I guess they didn't get the support they were looking for.Addition: I am writing this addition to my review about 14 months after my initial review. Since my initial review, the developers have disappeared again. There was a minor (and I mean VERY minor) patch about eleven months ago. Since then nothing.i am not saying the following out of anger or malice. But this game needs to be pulled. I would like my money back, but I'd settle for it being dropped from Steam, and the developers barred from Steam. This game hands out promises like a politician, and like a politician forgot all about their supporters once they had their money.In the two years I've had this game, it's hardly made any progress at all. They've tweaked some of the levels, and that's it. It's been version 1.16 for almost a year now.. Well, before I tell you what Undead Overlord is, let us first cover the basics of what it is not. It's not finished for one thing. A second key point that is worth mentioning is that it is not a game with femiliar gameplay. Both these 2 things are being said not in a negitive sense, not at all. They are just worth being noted before i go into what the game is.Undead Overlord, I saw this awhile back on Kickstarter. The concept of being the zombie-leader-commander was a very good hook, and still is. The game never made it to being fully funded. But now its been out for early access, which is cool. Gameplay is unique a bit clunky on a few things, but taking into account the game isn't finished yet should put some minds at ease for the time being. The game plays like a RTS but most of the time I feel like i'm always starting out with a infantry-flood tactic, which I suppose is to be expected (because you're zombies). All things considered, the game does show alot of promise, weather it can get rolling is up to funding and a whole lot of drive to see this through to the end.
